Parish Development

St John’s received a substantial legacy in 2015 from the estate of the late Ina Hawley. A Parish Development group was set up to consider how this should be used to best effect for the church and community.

The outcome is that the church has been reordered to provide modern heating and lighting sytems as well as new flooring under the pews and fully decorated. The pews have been stripped back to the original pine and sealed. This restores the church closer to its Victorian origins.

In addtion a Community Hall with kitchen, toilets and a church office has been annexed to the West End of the church. The official opening by the Bishop of Grantham was on Sunday 31st October 2021.
